JOB TITLE: Training & Quality Coach
REPORTING TO: Head of Volunteer Experience
LOCATION: Remote (Ireland) with a requirement to attend the office
(Dublin 2) for meetings/training as required, includes two days per
month of team collaboration days.
CONTRACT DURATION: Permanent (following successful completion of a six
month probationary period)

conversations. Our aim is to provide immediate support in the short
term and connect people to resources that will help them into the
future.
ABOUT THE JOB
The TRAINING & QUALITY COACH is responsible for volunteer admissions,
onboarding, ongoing training, quality monitoring and ongoing support
within the crisis messaging service.
The Coach supports volunteers through the completion of an online
training programme which equips prospective volunteers with necessary
skills and capabilities to successfully provide the service in an
effective and empathetic manner. The Coach is also responsible for
supporting volunteers when they are not on the platform, this includes
debriefing and providing support to volunteers after a difficult
conversation with a texter or an overwhelming shift. The Coach is also
responsible for receiving feedback from other team members about the
performance of volunteers, and working with volunteers on any
improvements or enhancements required to ensure high performance in
the delivery of the service. They are also responsible for
facilitating an ongoing learning and development environment, over and
above the onboarding period, through the development of various
learning and coaching materials and approaches. Finally, they are
responsible for cultivating a positive and inclusive volunteer
culture.
